Baralga Pty Ltd is more than just a business; it's a passion for our local environment.
We established Baralga Pty Ltd in 2007, with the aim to provide holistic, whole-of-landscape propagation and revegetation services. We are now involved in a broad range of projects, from Landcare to projects like the revegetation of the 38km Toowoomba Pipeline from the Wivenhoe Dam to Cressbrook Dam.
We have our base of operations on five acres of land in the lush Lockyer Valley, in south east Queensland. The climate here is well-suited for plant propagation all year round, and we have set up extensive nursery facilities for this purpose.
Our approach to the work we do is holistic, planning revegetation and landscaping projects in a whole-of-landscape context. This means that we will evaluate nearby vegetation, and make recommendations that will enable your project to link into naturally occurring wildlife corridors. This means that your project can become more than just revegetation of a specific area, instead playing a broader role in re-establishing forests and native habitat.
We can also offer a number of specialised horticultural services, such as contract planting; horticultural consulting, project management, environmental consulting, landscaping, grounds maintenance, bush regeneration/weed control, and quality bore water supply, delivery and application.
Please go to our services page for more details, or contact us to discuss your project needs.
Due to our innovative facilities, contract growing is a major part of our business. Baralga Pty Ltd can propagate all native revegetation stock for major nurseries, landscapers, government, and construction projects in container sizes ranging from viro cells to five litre bags.
Our seed collecting services use Florabank's Code of Practice, which is considered to be the best industry practice. We aim to retain genetic integrity through collection of local provenance seed in all planting areas.
